Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026.

These Terms of Service govern your use of the InfoShield Shred website, client portal, and destruction services. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of terms

  • By requesting a quote, creating an account, or using InfoShield Shred services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
  • If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

2. Services description

  • InfoShield Shred provides secure document and media destruction services, including scheduled shredding, one-off purges, and hard drive destruction.
  • Each service is performed under a barcode-verified chain of custody and documented with a certificate of destruction.
  • Service levels, pricing, and frequencies are set out in the customer agreement or quote accepted by both parties.

3. Client obligations

  • You must ensure that materials placed in our bins or consoles are suitable for destruction and do not contain hazardous or prohibited items.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate contact, access, and billing information.
  • You must keep your portal credentials confidential and notify us immediately of unauthorized access.

4. Collection and destruction process

  • Our officers scan bins at collection and again at facility intake to create an immutable custody record.
  • Destruction is witnessed and logged. A numbered certificate listing the destroyed bins is issued after completion.
  • While we take every precaution, we are not liable for documents that were not placed in our secure containers or handed to our officers.

5. Billing and payment

  • Invoices are issued based on the agreed pricing and services performed.
  • Payment terms are stated on the invoice. Late payments may incur interest or suspension of services.

6. Limitation of liability

  • InfoShield Shred's liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where prohibited by law.
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

7. Acceptable use of the portal

  • The client portal may only be used for lawful purposes related to your InfoShield Shred account.
  • You may not attempt to access data belonging to other customers, interfere with the platform, or reverse engineer our systems.

8. Termination

  • Either party may terminate services in accordance with the customer agreement.
  • Upon termination, we will return or securely destroy any remaining customer materials as directed and in accordance with retention obligations.

9. Changes to terms

  • We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which InfoShield Shred operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
  • Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
